Well I had to look this up, but it looks like the last football match I went to was Watford v Crystal Palace in April 1982. The interest never caught on but after a gap of 41 years I was persuaded to give it another go. Long story short – I’ll be back again!
Of course I took a camera – my amazing Olympus Stylus 1s. A camera that goes in a jacket pocket that comes with a 28-300mm f2.8 lens is pretty amazing, particularly as the f2.8 aperture is maintained all the way up to 300mm. The small sensor is OK at ISO 800 which means it’s perfectly usable under the Stadium Lights as well as in daylight, even for fast action shots!
